A triangular prism has five faces and when we add the area of all the five faces, we get the surface area of the triangular prism. Now the next question is, how to find the area of five faces of this prism? Well, if we look at the faces of the prism, two of them are triangular and remaining three faces are rectangular in shape.
If you know how to find the area of a rectangle and that of a triangle, then you can add these results to get the surface area of the prism.
Triangular prism net can be used to see all of the five faces of the prism individually. Below is a model triangular prism net.
