Finding Surface Area Of A Triangular Prism Made Easy!

A triangular prism has five faces and when we add the area of all the five faces, we get the surface area of the triangular prism. Now the next question is, how to find the area of five faces of this prism? Well, if we look at the faces of the prism, two of them are triangular and remaining three faces are rectangular in shape.

If you know how to find the area of a rectangle and that of a triangle, then you can add these results to get the surface area of the prism.

Now if you know that the area of a rectangle is just length times width and the area of a triangle is base times height divided by 2, then you can find the area of all the five faces. By adding these areas you can find the surface area of the triangular prism.
